The workshop focused on ways to leverage the cooperation agreement with Clarivate, one of the world’s leading institutions specializing in the classification of academic journals and research according to international accreditation standards. This agreement serves as a pivotal tool in enhancing the quality of Iraqi scientific research and connecting it with globally recognized, peer-reviewed publishing platforms.
Additionally, the workshop highlighted mechanisms to support Iraqi researchers in publishing within the *Web of Science* database, promoting the use of scientific analysis tools and research citations, and outlining institutional development pathways to elevate the standing of accredited Iraqi journals.
The initiative of the Ministry of Higher Education was commended for enabling Iraqi universities to actively engage in the global research ecosystem through these high-impact agreements, which contribute to strengthening academic competitiveness and maximizing research and development outputs.
